Former Galatasaray player Albert Riera takes charge of German giant
Bundesliga representative Eintracht Frankfurt has entrusted its managerial seat to Albert Riera. The club has signed a long-term contract with the Spanish coach that will run until 2028.
Eintracht Frankfurt, which competes in the Bundesliga, has announced that it has appointed Albert Riera as its new head coach ahead of the new season. In a statement released by the club, it was noted that a contract valid until 2028 has been signed with Riera.
The Frankfurt management emphasized that they chose the Spanish coach in line with a young and modern football vision that will advance the team's playing identity.
Riera, who began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Galatasaray, subsequently worked at NK Olimpija, NK Celje, and Bordeaux. Riera, who drew attention particularly with his successes in Slovenia, made a name for himself with the trophies he won in a short period.
In his managerial career, Albert Riera has achieved a significant track record of success, winning 1 Slovenian League title and 2 Slovenian Cup titles.
