Former TFF executive Hacıkerimoğlu: Allegations are baseless

Former Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board Member Mustafa Hacıkerimoğlu stated that he has never held any meetings regarding the TFF with anyone in hotels or behind closed doors.

In a statement regarding the matter on his social media account, Hacıkerimoğlu said, "The claim circulating on social media following yesterday's Istanbulspor - Trabzonspor match, alleging that I held a meeting with Istanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu during the TFF election process and that President Ecmel did not support me despite my request for support, is baseless. To this day, I have never had any meetings regarding the TFF with anyone in hotels or behind closed doors.

During my tenure as a TFF executive, both our TFF executives and the club presidents of that period are the people who know best that I am someone who is transparent and speaks their mind openly. Even on the most sensitive issues, I clearly expressed my feelings and thoughts at the Clubs Association meeting in the presence of all club presidents, addressing the TFF management and the presidents of the four major clubs with criticisms and solution proposals. I asked, 'Do you really want justice?' Our club presidents know very well what I said subsequently.

"DO YOU REALLY WANT JUSTICE?"

Taking this opportunity to reiterate my speech here, I address the club presidents: Do you really want justice? If justice is what is desired, it is the presidents and executives who have a say in Turkish football who will ensure that football is played 11 against 11 in this geography after a meeting that will last one hour. Lords of Turkish football, do not forget that justice is needed most by the powerful. Because the powerful have a lot to lose," he stated.
