French interest in Osayi-Samuel: Contract to be extended
Fenerbahçe, which wants to extend the contract of Bright Osayi-Samuel—who is on the transfer radar of French club Rennes and whose current deal expires in 2025—is reportedly set to increase the Nigerian right-back's salary.
Fenerbahçe signed the player from English side Queens Park Rangers during the 2020 mid-season transfer window for a transfer fee of 500 thousand Euros.
According to a report by Sabah Gazetesi, the yellow-navy blues intend to extend the Nigerian footballer's contract, which is set to expire on June 30, 2025, before it enters its final year. The club will offer the 25-year-old player a new 3-year contract during the mid-season break and will also increase Osayi's current salary of 600 thousand Euros.
Rennes from the French League is expected to make contact regarding the player, who has attracted their interest, and Fenerbahçe is planning to reach an agreement before this offer is made in order to prevent Osayi from becoming distracted.
