As part of their new season preparations, Galatasaray faced French representative Strasbourg in their 4th friendly match at RAMS Park.

The yellow-reds took a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute with a goal from Roland Sallai, and the first half ended with this score. In the second half, the Lions extended the lead to 3-0 with goals from Lucas Torreira in the 49th minute and Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 69th minute. The visiting team reduced the deficit to 2 with a goal from Milos Lukovic in the 81st minute. With no further goals in the remainder of the match, Galatasaray left the pitch with a 3-1 victory.

The match between Galatasaray and Strasbourg was officiated by referee Kadir Sağlam. Sağlam was assisted by Azad İlhan and Yusuf Susuz. Burak Demirkıran served as the 4th official.

GALATASARAY'S STARTING XI

The yellow-reds started the match with the following XI: Günay Güvenç, Roland Sallai, Davinson Sanchez, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Eren Elmalı, Lucas Torreira, Mario Lemina, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Gabriel Sara, Ismail Jakobs, and Ahmed Kutucu.

Jankat Yılmaz, Enes Emre Büyük, Elias Jelert, Derrick Köhn, Przemyslaw Frankowski, Metehan Baltacı, Arda Ünyay, Eyüp Aydın, Leroy Sane, Berkan Kutlu, Kaan Ayhan, and Yusuf Demir waited on the bench.

BARIŞ ALPER YILMAZ SCORED HIS 2ND GOAL

Barış Alper Yılmaz, who started in the XI for the Strasbourg match, played in the forward position for Galatasaray. Barış Alper found the back of the net in the 69th minute, scoring his team's 3rd goal. The 25-year-old footballer had also celebrated a goal in the Cagliari match.

Galatasaray's Hungarian footballer Roland Sallai found the net against Strasbourg following the friendly match played against Cagliari. In the 5th minute, following a corner kick taken from the left, Sallai struck the ball on the volley from outside the penalty area after it was cleared by the defense, sending it into the net.

Additionally, Kaan Ayhan, Arda Ünyay, Derrick Köhn, Przemyslaw Frankowski, Metehan Baltacı, Leroy Sane, Berkan Kutlu, Kaan Ayhan, Elias Jelert, and Yusuf Demir were brought into the game in the second half.

LEROY MADE HIS DEBUT

Galatasaray's new signing, German footballer Leroy Sane, was on the bench for the Strasbourg match. Sane, who entered the game in the 75th minute replacing Roland Sallai, thus made his debut for the yellow-reds. The 29-year-old footballer won the fans' appreciation with his performance and led the traditional post-match celebration with the fans.

OSIMHEN CHANTS

In the final minutes of the match, Galatasaray fans chanted about Victor Osimhen, who played on loan from Napoli last season. The yellow-red fans, chanting "The fans have gone crazy, they want Osimhen," conveyed their request to the management for the transfer of the Nigerian footballer to be realized.

On the other hand, Argentine footballer Mauro Icardi was not forgotten. Galatasaray fans sang the song "Aşkın Olayım," which has become synonymous with him, for Icardi.

4 OUT OF 4 IN FRIENDLY MATCHES

Galatasaray won their 4th friendly match as well. The yellow-reds had previously defeated Ümraniyespor 5-2, Admira Wacker 2-1, and Cagliari 3-1 in their previous friendly matches.

Galatasaray will face Lazio at home on Saturday, August 2, at 21:00.
