From Hüseyin Yücel to Serdal Adalı: I am his biggest enemy
Former Beşiktaş executive Hüseyin Yücel responded to the remarks made by current president Serdal Adalı. Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı had made statements during the press conference held for new signings Keny Arroyo and Elan Ricardo.
Referring to Yücel's past remarks regarding sponsorship agreements, Adalı had said the following:
"We need real estate projects for our financial structure. We are 2-3 years behind our rivals here. We will submit the new version of our first project to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Furthermore, we have applied for four plots of land, and I hope we will receive positive results. We contacted the brands that Hüseyin Yücel claimed to have reached agreements with during the election period. Some do not have commercial documentation, some are unaware of the matter, and they are not interested in sponsorship.
I am addressing those who talk left and right, saying, 'I was going to bring sponsorship to Beşiktaş'! The place of the Beşiktaş Club is clear, and its door is open. Some are trying to stir up the community for their own personal interests. They are trying to make the fans feel hopeless! This means that since we took office, we have stepped on some toes and addressed certain issues."
RESPONSE TO ADALI: I AM HIS SUPPORTER
Yücel responded to these remarks by Adalı with a statement. In the continuation of his statement, Yücel indicated that he would support Adalı, saying the following:
“Mr. Serdal Adalı claimed in today's press conference that the brands we received commitments from for sponsorship before the election were unaware of the matter. Representatives of the brands in question personally attended the launch where we announced our Revenue Ecosystem and signed a letter of intent. My belief that the esteemed President, who received the favor of our valuable Beşiktaş general assembly members, should continue his term for 3.5 years remains. Furthermore, I am the biggest enemy of anyone who has caused even a single penny of Beşiktaş to be lost. I am by Mr. Adalı's side throughout all these processes and I am his supporter.”
WHAT DID YÜCEL PROMISE?
Hüseyin Yücel, who was one of the presidential candidates during the election period at Beşiktaş, had said the following regarding his sponsorship promise:
“We will sign sponsorship agreements worth 86.8 million Euros with 25 brands.”
