Galatasaray announces the transfer of Derrick Köhn to Union Berlin
Galatasaray has announced that 26-year-old left-back Derrick Köhn has transferred to the German club Union Berlin for a transfer fee of 4 million Euros, plus 500 thousand Euros in conditional bonus payments.
Galatasaray has parted ways with 26-year-old German left-back Derrick Köhn. The yellow-reds announced that Köhn has transferred to the German team Union Berlin. In the statement made by the yellow-red club regarding the matter,
"An agreement has been reached with 1. FC Union Berlin e.V. regarding the transfer of our professional football player Derrick Arthur Köhn. According to the agreement, 1. FC Union Berlin e.V. will pay our company a transfer fee of 4 million Euros and a conditional bonus payment of 500 thousand Euros. In the event of the player's future transfer to another club, 1. FC Union Berlin e.V. will pay our company 20 percent of the remaining amount after deducting 2 million Euros from the total transfer revenue obtained from this transfer as a share from the subsequent sale," it was stated.
Köhn, who joined Galatasaray during the mid-season break of the 2023-2024 season, appeared in a total of 19 matches, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists.
