Galatasaray's decision on Victor Nelsson: Negotiations have begun
Galatasaray plans to offer a new contract to Victor Nelsson, whose current deal expires in 2026. The yellow-reds want to extend Nelsson's contract until 2028.
Continuing its transfer efforts, Galatasaray is planning to sign a new contract with Victor Nelsson as part of its internal transfer strategy.
According to a report in Sabah, the yellow-reds want to extend the Danish center-back's contract by 2 more years and provide a raise to his 1.2 million Euro salary. Nelsson's current contract expires in 2026.
MISSED EURO 2024 DUE TO INJURY
Victor Nelsson, who was included in the preliminary squad for Denmark competing in the 2024 European Football Championship, was unable to play in the tournament.
Nelsson had announced that his injury was ongoing and that he would not be able to participate in the tournament.
It was stated that the 25-year-old center-back's injury status is improving and he is expected to be ready for Galatasaray's training camp on July 9.
Signing with Galatasaray from Copenhagen in 2021, Victor Nelsson has appeared in 126 matches in the yellow-red jersey.
Nelsson played in 46 matches last season and scored 2 goals.
