Galatasaray Ekmas extends winning streak

In the 15th week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League, Galatasaray Ekmas defeated TOFAŞ 95-76.

Galatasaray Ekmas took a 6-point lead in the opening minutes of the match following baskets by Yeboah and Bost. TOFAŞ recovered quickly, bringing the score to 8-6 in the 4th minute after consecutive points. While both teams prevented each other from establishing long-term runs, TOFAŞ utilized the paint well, narrowing the gap to a single point (20-19) as the final minute of the quarter approached. The yellow-red team scored 4 more points through Sadık Emir Kabaca's performance in the final minute, finishing the first quarter ahead 24-21.

The first minutes of the second quarter saw both teams trading three-pointers; although TOFAŞ reduced the gap to one point again (29-28) after a basket by Wiley, Galatasaray Ekmas quickly went on a 6-0 run to bring the score to 38-30. Responding quickly to TOFAŞ's attempts to close the gap and not allowing the margin to shrink, the home team extended the lead to 15 points (50-35) following three-pointers by Prepelic. Along with effective defense and accurate outside shooting, the yellow-reds headed to the locker room with a 56-35 lead.

Starting the second half quickly with consecutive three-pointers from Bost and Prepelic, Galatasaray Ekmas soon brought the score to 70-42. Maintaining their defensive resistance, the yellow-red team managed to extend the lead to 30 points (74-44) after free throws by Radebaugh. Although TOFAŞ began to recover defensively after a while and closed the gap significantly with a 13-0 run in the remaining time, the yellow-red team finished the third quarter of the match leading 74-57.

Starting the final quarter with a three-pointer by Prepelic against a TOFAŞ side trying to maintain the same performance, Galatasaray Ekmas did not allow their opponent to close the gap any further. Capitalizing on TOFAŞ's turnovers on offense and maintaining their dominance, the home team won the match 95-76.
