Continuing its transfer efforts for the new season, Galatasaray has parted ways with Portuguese footballer Sergio Oliveira, who was not in the team's plans. The yellow-reds had signed Oliveira from the Portuguese club Porto on July 9, 2022, for a transfer fee of 3 million Euros.
The 32-year-old footballer played in 58 official matches for Galatasaray, recording 6 goals and 7 assists.
Having not played in any official matches this season outside of pre-season friendlies, Sergio Oliveira last appeared in the final moments of the away match against Konyaspor on May 26, 2024, during the final week of the Süper Lig.
Oliveira won the Süper Lig title with the yellow-reds in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons.
