In a statement regarding the matter, the yellow-red club said, "The decisions made by the Turkish Football Federation's Professional Football Discipline Board on 27.11.2025 have once again made visible the problems of double standards, lack of proportionality, and inconsistency in application that we have been highlighting in Turkish football. The 2-match suspension given to our player Roland Sallai was applied at the upper limit and in the harshest possible manner, despite the incident occurring during the flow of the game with no element of intent.

The fact that a similar action by an opposing team player in another match did not even result in a foul call clearly calls into question the intent behind the penalty given. In the match played last week, the provocative gesture made by the opposing team's goalkeeper toward the stands was not subjected to any disciplinary sanction, despite the clear provisions of the regulations. Our player Mauro Icardi was penalized by the PFDK in previous seasons for a similar gesture, even though he was in a position much further away from the stands.

The goal of those who interpret the same actions differently, ignore precedent-setting decisions, and seek to make justice change according to individuals and clubs is clear again this season. We repeat loudly what we said about 3 years ago: 'Not privilege for one club, but justice for everyone!'

We know that the only way forward for Turkish football is equality, consistency, and justice. Galatasaray Sports Club will continue its struggle on the pitch, as it does every season, until the very end," the statement concluded.
