Galatasaray secures 3-goal victory in Ziraat Turkish Cup
Galatasaray defeated 1st League side İstanbulspor 3-1 at home in the 3rd week match of the Ziraat Turkish Cup Group A.
The goals that brought victory to Galatasaray were scored by Mauro Icardi, Lucas Torreira, and Ahmed Kutucu. İstanbulspor's only goal was recorded by Mendy Mamadou in the 26th minute.
Head coach Okan Buruk rested Uğurcan Çakır, Roland Sallai, Gabriel Sara, Victor Osimhen, and Yunus Akgün due to the heavy match schedule. Leroy Sane and Arda Ünyay, who are dealing with injuries, were also not included in the squad.
Wilfried Singo returned to the pitch against İstanbulspor after a 73-day break.

TWO PLAYERS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
In the 46th minute of the match, Ahmed Kutucu and goalkeeper İsa Doğan collided head-to-head. Both players collapsing to the ground frightened those watching.

İsa Doğan was taken to the hospital with his consciousness clear after the blow to his head. It was stated that İsa Doğan's cheekbone was fractured. Ahmet Kutucu left the game as a precaution and was taken to the hospital.
Yaser Asprilla, who was added to the squad by Galatasaray during the mid-season transfer window, found a chance in the starting 11 for the first time for the yellow-red team.
