The yellow-red team has accelerated its efforts for the winter transfer window. While there has been talk of interest in Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, it is claimed that Galatasaray's primary target is Antoine Griezmann, who plays for Atletico Madrid.
The 34-year-old Griezmann is a versatile player capable of playing as a forward, winger, and attacking midfielder. The French footballer, who has a current market value of 11 million Euros, transferred from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona in 2019 for 120 million Euros. However, failing to meet expectations at Barcelona, Griezmann returned to Atletico Madrid in 2021.
This season, Griezmann has spent 1076 minutes on the pitch in 26 official matches for Atletico Madrid, contributing 7 goals and 1 assist. Having achieved many successes with Atletico Madrid and the French National Team, Griezmann was also an important part of the squad that won the 2018 World Cup. The French star is under contract with the Spanish club until 2027.
