Galatasaray suffers setback in title race
In the 29th week of the Super Lig, league leaders Galatasaray drew 1-1 at home against Kocaelispor, suffering a major blow in the title race.
Galatasaray took the lead in the 30th minute with a goal from Leroy Sane. The visitors equalized in the 72nd minute through Petkovic. Kocaelispor had won the first match played in the first half of the season 3-1.
With this result, although Galatasaray increased its point total to 68, it suffered a setback in the title race. Kocaelispor reached 35 points.

The standings in the title race are as follows;
1. Galatasaray - 68 points
2. Fenerbahçe - 66 points
3. Trabzonspor - 64 points

Goalkeeper Günay Güvenç, who tested himself during the pre-match warm-up due to an injury, was removed from the squad. Victor Osimhen, who is still undergoing treatment, was also not included in the squad.
In the green-and-black team, Wieteska, Jovanovic, and Balogh, who are injured, were not included in the traveling party.

Great support for Uğurcan
The yellow-red fans gave great support to national goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır.
Galatasaray fans boosted the morale of Uğurcan, who played against his former team Trabzonspor in the 28th week of the league and faced a strong reaction from the burgundy-blue fans.
When Uğurcan came out onto the pitch to warm up, the fans chanted, "This fanbase is proud of you."
