Galatasaray to face Ajax in Champions League
Galatasaray will face Dutch side Ajax away today in the 4th week of the UEFA Champions League.
The match, which will take place at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, will kick off at 23:00 TSI. The match will be officiated by Benoit Bastien from the French Football Federation.
Starting the Champions League in the 36-team league phase, the yellow-red team was defeated 5-1 by German side Eintracht Frankfurt in their first away match.
Having not started the Champions League as they had hoped, Galatasaray increased their points to 6 by defeating English giants Liverpool 1-0 at home in their second match and Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt 3-1 in their third match.
Ajax, on the other hand, has not earned any points in the first 3 matches of the UEFA Champions League. The Dutch side was defeated 2-0 at home by Italian team Inter in the first week's match.
Ajax subsequently lost 4-0 to French side Marseille and 5-1 to Chelsea in their away matches.
ILKAY GUNDOGAN WILL NOT PLAY
Yellow-red player Ilkay Gündoğan will not be able to play against Ajax.
Ilkay, who was injured in the final training session before the Bodo/Glimt match, will not be able to take part in this encounter.
Ivorian player Wilfried Singo, who has recovered from his injury, will be able to play in this match.
