Galatasaray wins 5 out of 5 in the league after 15 seasons

Galatasaray faced Gaziantep FK at RAMS Park in a rescheduled match for the 3rd week of the Trendyol Super League. The yellow-reds left the pitch with a 3-1 victory. With this result, the yellow-reds reached 15 points and moved to the top of the table. The Lions have also won all of their first 5 league matches this season.

Galatasaray, which last started the league with 5 wins in 5 matches during the 2009-2010 season under Dutch manager Frank Rijkaard, has thus repeated this achievement after 15 seasons.

In the rescheduled 3rd week match of the Trendyol Super League, Galatasaray faced Gaziantep FK at home, and the yellow-reds won 3-1. With this result, Cimbom, which started the league with 5 wins in 5 matches, saw manager Okan Buruk achieve a significant milestone.

The Lions previously achieved 5 wins in 5 matches in the Super League during the 1998-1999 season under Fatih Terim. Buruk thus became the 2nd Turkish manager to repeat this success.

Galatasaray's Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi scored his 2nd goal of the season in the Trendyol Super League during the Gaziantep FK match.

As Galatasaray played against Gaziantep FK at home in the rescheduled 3rd week match of the Trendyol Super League, the yellow-reds' third goal was scored by their Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi. In the 76th minute of the match, following a pass from Kerem Demirbay, Barış Alper Yılmaz received the ball on the left side of the penalty area and passed it to Batshuayi at the back post, who sent the ball into the empty net to make the score 3-0.

The 30-year-old footballer increased his goal tally in the league to 2. The Belgian player also has 2 goals in European competitions this season.

Michy Batshuayi, who started the match in the starting 11, remained on the pitch for 90 minutes.
