Galatasaray's 31.5 million euro plan in jeopardy

Nicolo Zaniolo and Yunus Akgün, who left Galatasaray during the last transfer window, have yet to experience the joy of scoring for their new teams. If Aston Villa and Leicester City are not satisfied with their performances, they will not exercise the purchase options.

Galatasaray had sent Nicolo Zaniolo and Yunus Akgün out on loan as part of their 2023-24 season squad planning. Aston Villa signed Nicolo Zaniolo with a 22.5 million euro conditional mandatory purchase option, while Leicester City signed Yunus Akgün with a 9 million euro conditional mandatory purchase option.

Nicolo Zaniolo has appeared in 16 matches in all competitions for Aston Villa and has not provided any goal contributions. Yunus Akgün has recorded 2 assists in a total of 11 matches played.

It was stated that if Aston Villa and Leicester City are not satisfied with the performances of the two players, there is a possibility that they will not exercise the purchase options and the players will return to Galatasaray.
