Atilla Türker reveals the footballer who bet on his own match!

Journalist Atilla Türker made a striking claim regarding Galatasaray's national team player Eren Elmalı during a live broadcast on the Memi Sports YouTube channel, hosted by Melih Şendil.

Türker alleged that Elmalı bet on a match he was playing in back in 2019, when he was wearing the Kasımpaşa jersey. Directly naming the player during the live broadcast, Türker stated that he possessed "official documents" regarding the matter.

MATCHES BET ON

According to Türker's claims, Eren Elmalı placed a bet on his own match one day before Kasımpaşa's U19 team played against MKE Ankaragücü on August 31, 2019.

Türker stated that Elmalı was in the starting 11 for this match and that the game ended in a "1-1" draw. He further disclosed that this betting transaction was made on August 30, 2019, at 19:16.

Türker also alleged that Eren Elmalı bet on the Van Spor vs. Kasımpaşa match on December 17, 2019. Claiming that this betting slip was placed on "December 17, 2019, at 12:09," Türker said there was information indicating that bets were also placed on other matches on the same day.

"MATCH-FIXING DOES NOT EXPIRE"

Atilla Türker categorized Eren Elmalı betting on his own match as "falling under the scope of match-fixing" and stated that match-fixing crimes do not have a statute of limitations. Emphasizing the seriousness of the crime, Türker noted, "Ndao was arrested for the same offense."

PREVIOUS PENALTY RECALLED

During the broadcast, a reminder was also given that Eren Elmalı had previously received a 45-day ban "on the grounds of betting." Türker pointed out that following this penalty, Elmalı had made a statement saying, "I acted out of ignorance."
