Aysu, from Bodrum, Muğla, who had already completed 4 of the Ocean's Seven—the world's 7 most challenging open-water swims—has now conquered the Hawaiian channel.

Aysu, who holds the title of the youngest Turkish athlete to swim across the English Channel between the UK and France, the first Turkish woman to complete the North Channel, the youngest female swimmer and fastest Turkish woman to cross the Cook Strait in New Zealand, and the youngest Turkish swimmer to complete the Catalina Channel, has now finished the 5th of the 7 most challenging open-water channel crossings in Hawaii.

SWAM 65 KILOMETERS

In this context, every moment of Aysu Türkoğlu's channel crossing, which began yesterday at 17:30 Turkish time, was broadcast live on her social media account. Türkoğlu became the youngest Turkish swimmer to complete the 5th leg of this series by crossing the Ka'iwi Channel in 21 hours, covering 65 kilometers. The joyful moments when Aysu reached the shore and unfurled the Turkish flag were shared on her social media account.

Aysu Türkoğlu stepped onto the shore amidst the congratulations of her family, experiencing great joy and pride. The Ka'iwi Channel, which stretches between the Hawaiian islands of Moloka'i and O'ahu where Aysu swam, is considered one of the most dangerous swimming routes due to its harsh currents, large waves, variable water temperatures, strong winds, and natural threats such as jellyfish and sharks.
