Beauty queen Nevide Çiçek steps onto the football pitch as club president

Having started playing football during her school years and holding a beauty queen title, 23-year-old Nevide Çiçek has returned to the pitch with the 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football Club. While actively playing football, Çiçek is also working for the success of Çakallıklı Spor, where she was elected president.

Nevide Çiçek (23), who began playing football in middle school, has not given up on her passion for the sport despite being crowned a beauty queen and working as an actress in TV series and films.

Driven by her love for football, Çiçek took to the pitch at a young age, starting her football career at Güzeltepe Doğu Gençlik ve Spor. After playing professionally for a time, Nevide Çiçek also began working as a model and actress.

WON HER QUEEN CROWN

Representing Turkey at the Miss Tourism Universe pageant held in Lebanon in 2021, Çiçek won her first queen crown.

After being crowned a beauty queen at The Queen of Eurasia pageant in 2022, Çiçek placed 3rd among contestants from 25 different countries at the Miss Eurasia pageant held in Moscow, Russia, in recent months, where she received her crown.

While also acting in TV series and films, Çiçek has never been able to break away from her love of football.

ELECTED PRESIDENT OF A MEN'S FOOTBALL TEAM

Seeking to carry her success from the catwalk to the pitch, Çiçek transferred to the 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football Club for the new season. While working hard for the success of her team, which is currently undefeated and in 2nd place in the Women's First League, Çiçek was recently elected president of the men's football team Çakallıklı Spor, which competes in the Antalya Super Amateur League. As the only female president in the league, Çiçek closely follows the training sessions of the team she leads during the time remaining from her own training.

WANTS TO WORK WITH A FEMALE COACH

As one of the youngest female presidents, Çiçek receives information about the team from the coaches during the training sessions she attends. Çiçek also wants to work with a female coach on the team. Communicating one-on-one with players during the training sessions she follows, Çiçek expresses confidence in her team.

Stating that her passion for football began in childhood, Çiçek said, "I started playing football in middle school. From then on, I developed myself and finally transferred to Antalya. Now, a very beautiful project has come my way, and I wanted to evaluate it. We want to bring our team to great places and prepare very well for the upcoming season. I love football; I am practically in love with it. I want to show that women are also involved in football. This time, I have taken a hand in men's football."
