Betting operation expands: Allegations that the button has been pressed for 3,000 football players!

Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu had announced that 152 referees were actively involved in betting.

It has been learned that an investigation was launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following this statement.

Journalist Candaş Tolga Işık reported in a post on his social media account that the scope of the betting operation has expanded.

Işık stated that in addition to the referees, their close relatives and the presidents and executives who have served in the last 5 years have also been included in the scope of the investigation.

ACTION TAKEN AGAINST 3,000 FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Işık also stated that the operation has been extended to 3,000 active football players, saying, “The betting operation regarding referees is expanding. The relatives/close associates of the referees regarding the matches they officiated, as well as the presidents/executives who served in the last 5 years, are also being investigated. And more importantly, the button has been pressed for 3,000 active football players.”
