İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu revealed that truth about Zorbay Küçük: How much money is in the betting account?
TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made statements regarding the status of referee Zorbay Küçük, who is currently under investigation as part of a betting scandal.
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu spoke on a television program following the penalties imposed on 149 referees found to have engaged in betting. Hacıosmanoğlu also shared information regarding the status of referee Zorbay Küçük, whose betting investigation is ongoing.
Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the investigation into Zorbay Küçük is continuing and said in his statement, "I spoke with Zorbay Küçük. The data we received indicated this, and I said to get it re-verified. It was said that it was played, while our referee friend said he did not play. The accounts do not match. He filed a criminal complaint, and we have asked the necessary authorities for the investigation. We are waiting for that answer."
“SOMEONE WHO IS GUILTY DOES NOT FILE AN OBJECTION WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE”
Hacıosmanoğlu also commented on Zorbay Küçük's application to the prosecutor's office, stating, "Someone who is guilty does not file an objection with the prosecutor's office."
Reminding that Küçük himself had applied to the prosecutor's office regarding the accusations, Hacıosmanoğlu noted that he found this situation suspicious and that the investigation is ongoing.
Speaking about the account Zorbay Küçük allegedly used for betting, Hacıosmanoğlu said, "When the account was opened, a certain amount of bonus was given; there is a bonus of around 40 liras. Two coupons were played. The prosecutor's office will conduct its investigation, and we have asked the relevant units. It was opened and played with a Turkish ID number. The process is continuing."
