Referee analysts evaluate critical decisions in Fenerbahçe-Alanyaspor match: Scandalous officiating!

Mustafa Çulcu argued in his column in Sabah that referee Cihan Aydın managed a poor match. Çulcu maintained that the incident where Archie Brown stepped on İbrahim's foot should have been a red card.

Aydınus stated that the decision to let play continue for the incident where Makouta brought down Fred inside the penalty area was correct.

Regarding the two incidents in the final minutes where Fenerbahçe expected a penalty, Fırat Aydınus said, "When we look at the incident between Hadergjonaj and Oosterwolde, it is outside the rules of the game. Hadergjonaj is hugging Oosterwolde with both hands, and there is a continuous hold with both hands. This incident is a violation of the rules of the game, meaning it requires a penalty."

Regarding the incident involving Güven Yalçın, Aydınus said, "Even if the distance is close, the player's arm and hand are so open as it comes. It is almost above shoulder level; here, the ball is hitting an arm that is not in a natural position. In my opinion, Hadergjonaj's hold is more of a penalty than the one involving Güven; there is clear evidence. As for Güven, VAR might say, 'The distance is short.' I don't think the short distance covers such an openness. Both are penalties."
