Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım's remarks on Ali Koç before the Galatasaray match: 'There will be no peace in Turkey'

Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım made statements that will shake the agenda ahead of the Galatasaray match to be played on Friday at 20:00.

Appearing as a guest on Beyaz TV, Yıldırım said, "If Turkish football is to get anywhere, Ali Koç must become champion at least once. I am saying this clearly and plainly. There will be no peace in Turkey until Ali Koç becomes champion. I see that Fenerbahçe fans are driven crazy, and they are right to be."

Speaking assertively about the Galatasaray match, Yıldırım said, "I will go for points in my remaining 8 matches. That is why I will go to the Galatasaray match and talk to my players. I have canceled all my business. Neither Fenerbahçe nor Beşiktaş are my rivals.

We will go out and play our own game. In front of my glorious, great fans, the stadium will be full on Friday. All tickets have been sold out. If I cannot win this match in front of them, we are finished! My European dream will fall through," he said.

Continuing his words, Yıldırım stated the following:

"I am closer to Ali Koç. At my first Clubs Association meeting, Dursun Özbek started attacking Ali Koç. I couldn't stand it and said, 'President, what is happening? Is this why we came here?' Dursun Özbek said, 'Who are you!' I replied, 'In a moment, Ali Koç will answer you. Did we come here to listen to this?' He answered me by saying, 'Get lost, you will learn.' I love Ali Koç very much; I wish he would become champion."
