According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, Vincic, who is a UEFA finalist referee and officiated the 120-minute Champions League match between PSV and Juventus on February 19, experienced great astonishment on the day of the derby.
Upon learning that more than 10,000 police officers were on duty for the derby, Vincic could not believe what he heard.
Sharing his surprise with his wife over the phone at the end of the match, the Slovenian referee recalled his previous match between Bravo and Koper, which had 450 spectators, and said, "It was like a thriller movie. I have never encountered anything like this before."
