Tension in Turkish football shows no signs of ending: Explosive remarks from Acun Ilıcalı to Galatasaray executive Metin Öztürk!

The repercussions of the Sivasspor – Galatasaray match, played in the 15th week of the Süper Lig, continue.

In the final moments of the match, which the Yellow-Reds won 3-2, Sivasspor's Rey Manaj stepped on the ankle of Galatasaray's Barış Alper Yılmaz.

The match referee, Turgut Doman, did not show a red card to Manaj despite a VAR intervention.

TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu claimed that the incident in question warranted a red card and alleged that an operation was being conducted against him.

Galatasaray Club Second President Metin Öztürk had made the following statements regarding Rey Manaj after the Sivasspor match:

"You would cry if you watched the position. He stepped on him intentionally. It was not part of the play. A player who didn't play in the Fenerbahçe match 3 weeks ago by saying he was injured, intentionally slaughtered Barış Alper. I exclude the Sivasspor management. They hosted us as well as they could. The response from Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı to Metin Öztürk's statements was not delayed.

Using very harsh language, Acun Ilıcalı stated, "Have you ever seen such an impudent statement, such a vile accusation in your life? As long as such clowns make statements, Turkish football will be dragged into chaos!"

Acun Ilıcalı's statements are as follows:
