George Gardi: Galatasaray has one of the best attacking lines in the world with Osimhen, Sane, and Leao
Italian agent George Gardi stated that the Rafael Leao transfer was completed after long negotiations and that the player wanted to join Galatasaray.
Italian agent George Gardi made statements regarding the process of Galatasaray's new signing Rafael Leao joining the yellow-red club. Stating that the transfer was completed after months of difficult negotiations, Gardi said that despite receiving many offers, the Portuguese footballer's desire to come to Galatasaray was the deciding factor.
Gardi stated that the talks began more than 3-4 months ago and that he worked with the Galatasaray President and vice president during the process. Reminding that Leao spent 7 years at Milan, Gardi expressed that it was not easy to convince the player to leave and come to Turkey.
Conveying that Leao was warm to the idea of Galatasaray from the beginning, Gardi said that the player turned down many offers during this process that were not reflected in the press. The Italian agent said, "We told him that he would not find the passion, love, and happiness he would see at Galatasaray at any other club. I think that is what made the difference in the end."

Stating that the negotiations with the Milan side were also difficult, Gardi explained that the Italian club demanded a high transfer fee for the player, which is why they waited for the right timing until the last week of August.
Gardi also said that English Premier League side Aston Villa was interested in Leao until the very last day. Stating that one of the Portuguese footballer's childhood dreams was to play in the Premier League, Gardi expressed that despite this, the environment offered by Galatasaray played an important role in the player's decision.
Noting that the 27-year-old footballer received offers from Italy, the Premier League, a club in Turkey, and different countries, Gardi said it would not be right to share the names of the clubs. Gardi stated that while some offers included higher salaries, Leao believed that he could win trophies at Galatasaray and return to the highest level of football.
Touching on Galatasaray's attacking line, Gardi said, "Galatasaray currently has one of the best attacking lines in the world with Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane, and Rafa Leao." Gardi said he did not want to comment on the new transfer rumors in the press.
