German club sends letter to TFF regarding Can Uzun!
Eintracht Frankfurt has held discussions with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) due to young talent Can Uzun not receiving sufficient playing time for the national team.
According to reports in the German press, a disagreement has arisen between Eintracht Frankfurt and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regarding the playing time of 19-year-old footballer Can Uzun in the national team.
Eintracht Frankfurt contacted the TFF after Can Uzun was left out of the squad for the international matches played in September. It has been alleged that the German club may decide not to release the young player for national team duty if this situation continues. The TFF responded positively to this request but stated that they could not guarantee Can Uzun constant playing time. The federation expressed that it plans to integrate the young footballer more into the national team in the coming period.
A National Team Head Coach Vincenzo Montella, in his statement after the match played against Bulgaria, said, "You love creating stories; I started calling Can Uzun to the national team when he was playing in the second division. Of course, I will be very happy when our young talented players score goals; we are following them closely. As you know, Kenan was not playing for his own team; he played his first official match with us and blossomed like a flower afterward. Seeing them like this makes me happy and proud. Irfan can always leave his mark in every match after coming on as a substitute; seeing these things makes me proud."
