The German national team jersey is no longer that brand! It sparked reactions

The replacement of Adidas, which has sponsored the national team's jersey since 1954, with Nike has saddened German football fans. Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck was also among those who criticized the decision.

According to NTV Spor, Habeck stated, "I can hardly imagine the German national team jersey without the three stripes."

THEY SUBMITTED THE BEST OFFER

In response to the reactions, the German Football Association (DFB) announced that the decision was made for economic reasons. In the statement made by the federation, it was noted, "We understand the emotional reactions, but we must make economic decisions. Nike was the company that submitted the best offer."

While the financial details of the sponsorship deal were not disclosed, it was claimed that Adidas offered 50 million Euros annually, while Nike closed the deal with a fee of more than 100 million Euros.
