Giresunspor President Nahid Yamak: We didn't earn a single penny from Umut!

Giresunspor President Nahid Yamak made statements regarding the current agenda at a press conference he held today at the Çotanak Sports Complex.

Stating that he organized this meeting to clarify some issues that have been curious to the public and for which answers are being sought, President Yamak said, "I think the most important issue that the entire public is curious about is why Giresunspor is in this state. Let me explain to you the answer to the question of why Giresunspor is in this state," and noted the following:

"We have left behind a year in which we have been dealing and continue to deal with the obstacles placed in front of us since the day we took office, with depleted resources, with a new enforcement file arriving every day, with player contract terminations, and with payment documents that were not recorded in the club. The corruption that has taken place here is not something that moral, honest, virtuous people who have received even a little bit of family upbringing would do. What we have seen are events that fall entirely under the scope of qualified fraud. With the start of the court phase, these irregularities have been confirmed by administrative fines, and the Giresunspor corruption and irregularity file, which was being heard in the civil court of first instance, has been moved to the high criminal court at the request of the judicial authorities. This is another detail that reveals the seriousness of the situation. Anyone who helps with the irregularities experienced here, who defends them on social media, and who paves the way for this team to face extinction is guilty in my eyes. Just as we, together with our friends on the board of directors, went after all these corruption files without fearing or hesitating from anyone, we want our entire community and those who love Giresunspor to be with us on this issue and to fight the struggle to defend Giresunspor's rights together. Those who do not respond to these and those who are afraid of them are silent devils. Let me explain this situation to you with examples."

WE DID NOT EARN A SINGLE PENNY FROM THE UMUT NAYİR TRANSFER

Clarifying the allegations of irregularity regarding the player transfer that took place at the Giresunspor club, President Nahid R. Yamak stated that the Giresunspor club was caused a loss of 4 million 500 thousand TL due to a check exchange between Eyüpspor President Murat Özkaya and former Giresunspor President Hakan Karaahmet, and conveyed the following:

"There is a mind-boggling Umut Nayir transfer issue at the Giresunspor Club. Not even 1 kuruş has entered the coffers of the Giresunspor club regarding this matter. Despite the fact that not even 1 kuruş entered the Giresunspor club regarding this transfer process in question, a check for 4 million 500 thousand TL signed by the Eyüpspor club president was delivered to the former president of Giresunspor. The date this check was delivered coincides with Umut Nayir's transfer period. When I spoke to the Eyüpspor president about the issue, he told me that he made this payment in exchange for the player. After this conversation, when I discussed the issue with the former Giresunspor president, he brushed the matter off by saying, 'That is my business.' Let no one tell me that this check was a check issued as a result of commercial activities. Furthermore, this is only one of the checks whose image we have obtained; there is information that another payment was made in addition to this check according to allegations. In addition to this, the figure for Sergen Piçinciol, whose transfer to Bandırmaspor took place in the same period, is completely unknown."

BONUSES AND OTHER LOSSES

Speaking about Giresunspor's bonus expenses and irregular expenditures, Yamak said, "Another issue, friends, is the irregular expenditures made under the name of the club's bonus expenses. With unsigned expense receipts, this amount corresponds to approximately 12,925,000.00 Turkish Liras, and this matter is also in the case files at the prosecutor's office. This money has gone into someone's pocket. This amount corresponds to approximately 1 million Euros at the exchange rate of that day."
