Giresunspor unable to open transfer window

1. Lig side Giresunspor has announced that its transfer ban cannot be lifted. In a statement released on the green-and-white club's website, it was stated: ''As the Giresunspor Board of Directors, despite our intensive efforts over approximately 3 months with the support of Giresunspor fans to reduce the total debt of 136 million TL—consisting of 132 million TL owed to foreign players and 4 million TL to domestic players—which was blocking our transfers, through bilateral negotiations conducted by our club lawyer, we managed to reduce it to 53 million TL. Even with 10 million TL of this amount being provided by the Board of Directors, due to the failure to fulfill certain commitments made in the public eye regarding the opening of our transfer window, the failure to realize the support promised to our club, and the fact that our requests for credit facilities—which are provided to many clubs in our country—did not receive a response despite us having no existing credit debt, and our necessary initiatives remaining unanswered, we regret to state that our efforts to open our transfer window have not been successful.''
