Gökmen Özdenak has passed away

Having been hospitalized due to a heart condition, Özdenak passed away at the hospital despite all medical interventions.could not be saved and passed away.

Özdenak fell ill at his home on December 29th at around15:00. It was stated that he suffered from COPD,and Özdenak was left without breath for approximately 40 minutes,and his pulse stopped. Medical personnel who arrived at the houseintervened to resuscitate Özdenak, whose heart had stopped twice. Following the procedureFollowing theinterventions,Özdenak was intubated and admitted to theintensive care unit at the hospital.

Following his football career, Özdenakalso became one of the beloved figures on television after retiring from football. WHO IS GÖKMEN ÖZDENAK?

Gökmen Özdenak, one of the significant figures in Turkish football and Galatasaray history, began his football career at İstanbulspor. In 1967, when he wasjust 20 yearsold, he transferred to Galatasaray Özdenak wore theyellow-red jersey for 13 years.

Ending his active football career in 1980, Özdenak appeared in 327 matchesthroughout his careerand scored105 goals. He played in 297 matchesfor Galatasaray.appeared in Özdenak scored 99 goals in these matches. He served14 times for the National Team.
