According to the statement made by the Turkish Sports Federation for the Intellectually Disabled, the first day of the organization, which was held in Dubai and attended by 70 countries, has concluded.
Fatma Damla Altın, who won the gold medal in the long jump F20 category with a mark of 5.62, also surpassed the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games A standard and rose to fourth place.
Muhammet Atıcı won the silver medal in the shot put F20 category with a mark of 15.12 and surpassed the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games A standard.
Birol Aydın, President of the Turkish Sports Federation for the Intellectually Disabled, who followed the organization on-site, congratulated the successful athletes and stated, "We aim to secure 5 quotas for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and win a medal at the Olympics for the first time."
