Good news for Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray from the Arbitration Board!

Good news has arrived for Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray from the Arbitration Board.

The Board reduced the 45-day ban and 350,000 TL fine imposed on Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç to 30 days and 250,000 TL.

The 45-day ban and 350,000 TL fine imposed on Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek were also reduced to 30 days and 250,000 TL.

On the other hand, the 45-day ban and 350,000 TL fine imposed on Ali Koç due to his statements on November 9 were upheld.

HERE ARE THE STATEMENTS

The appeal by Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. and its president Ali Yıldırım Koç against the PFDK's decision dated 23.11.2023 and numbered E.2023-2024/456 - K.2023-2024/560 was examined. As a result of the deliberation;

- It was understood that there was no inaccuracy in terms of proof, legal qualification, and determination of the penalty regarding the 600,000.00 TL fine imposed on Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. in accordance with Article 36/1-d of the FDT due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the statements published on the Club's Official Website on 17.11.2023, therefore the application was rejected and the decision was upheld, unanimously,

- It was decided unanimously to correct and uphold the PFDK decision regarding the 45-day ban and 350,000.00 TL fine imposed on Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. president Ali Yıldırım Koç in accordance with Articles 36/1-d and 36/1-b of the FDT due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the statements published on the Club's Official Website on 17.11.2023, by reducing the final penalty to a 30-day ban and 250,000.00 TL fine in terms of the proportionality of the action to the penalty given,

- It was understood that there was no inaccuracy in terms of proof, legal qualification, and determination of the penalty regarding the 45-day ban and 350,000.00 TL fine imposed on Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. president Ali Yıldırım Koç in accordance with Article 36/1-b of the FDT due to unsportsmanlike conduct in his speeches to the media on 09.11.2023, therefore the application was rejected and the decision was upheld, unanimously,

- The appeal by Galatasaray A.Ş. and its president Dursun Aydın Özbek against the PFDK's decision dated 23.11.2023 and numbered E.2023-2024/455 - K.2023-2024/559 was examined. As a result of the deliberation;

- It was understood that there was no inaccuracy in terms of proof, legal qualification, and determination of the penalty regarding the 600,000.00 TL fine imposed on Galatasaray A.Ş. in accordance with Article 36/1-d of the FDT due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the statements published on the Club's Official Website on 17.11.2023, therefore the application was rejected and the decision was upheld, unanimously,

- It was decided unanimously to correct and uphold the PFDK decision regarding the 45-day ban and 350,000.00 TL fine imposed on Galatasaray A.Ş. president Dursun Aydın Özbek in accordance with Articles 36/1-d and 36/1-b of the FDT due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the statements published on the Club's Official Website on 17.11.2023, by reducing the final penalty to a 30-day ban and 250,000.00 TL fine in terms of the proportionality of the action to the penalty given.
