Fenerbahçe has provided an update on the current status of Marco Asensio, who has been away from the team for a while due to an injury. The yellow-navy club announced that there is no obstacle to the Spanish footballer being included in the squad for the Eyüpspor match.
Asensio suffered an injury during Fenerbahçe's 4-2 victory against Konyaspor on August 22, 2026. The extended recovery process of the player had caused concern among the yellow-navy fans.
In the health update provided by the club, it was stated that Asensio's treatment has been carried out in accordance with the program planned by the medical team. It was reported that while the treatment process continued, the footballer maintained his individual training to reach the physical level required to return to the match squad.
