Göztepe appeals PFDK referrals: 2-match stadium closure and 90-day ban for attacker had been issued

Süper Lig side Göztepe has announced that it will appeal the PFDK penalties imposed due to incidents that occurred during the second-week match against Fenerbahçe.

The statement read, "As Göztepe Sports Club, we hereby announce to the public that we have begun the necessary work to exercise all our rights to appeal regarding the PFDK decisions announced on Thursday, August 22, 2024."

PFDK PENALTIES

The following penalties were imposed on Göztepe due to the incidents:

GÖZTEPE A.Ş. was punished with a 2-MATCH STADIUM CLOSURE due to field incidents caused by its fans and members during the GÖZTEPE A.Ş.-FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. Trendyol Süper Lig match played on 17.08.2024,

In the same match, GÖZTEPE A.Ş. was issued a WARNING due to ugly and bad chants caused by its fans, and because this action was committed for the first time in a match where it was the host club in the same season; in accordance with Article 53/3 of the FDT, the electronic tickets of spectators located in the EAST STAND 213, 214, WEST STAND 224, NORTH STAND 207, SOUTH STAND 219, and WEST VIP STAND 225 blocks, who engaged in ugly and bad chanting, were blocked to prevent their entry to the next match where the club is the host,

In the same match, GÖZTEPE A.Ş. was punished with a 90,000 TL FINE for failing to keep stairwells clear,

In the same match, GÖZTEPE A.Ş. official FATİH ÖZKAN was punished with a 90-DAY BAN FROM RIGHTS for his action contrary to the accreditation instructions and his attack on the opposing team's club president,
