The name of former Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi has once again come to the fore for the presidency of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). While stating that he does not have such a goal at this stage, Çebi said that he would not remain indifferent to an offer if a joint call were to come from the clubs and the football public.

In a conversation reported by journalist Ersin Düzen, Çebi emphasized that he had not previously made any statement indicating that he was a candidate for the TFF presidency. Çebi stated, "I am not considering the federation presidency. No such statement has ever come out of my mouth until now. I have not made any comments suggesting that I am a candidate for the federation presidency."
However, Çebi expressed that he could make a different assessment if the football family reached a broad consensus. The former Beşiktaş President said, "However, if the clubs form a consensus in this direction, if they hold the view that 'Ahmet Nur Çebi, with his years of experience, could be the president in Turkish football,' and if the entire football family unites and comes to me with such an offer, of course, as someone who loves football so much and has spent years in football, I would not remain indifferent."
Çebi's statement has led to interpretations that the joint stance of the clubs could be decisive in potential candidacy discussions regarding the TFF presidency.
