Güneş Çapa, the first captain of the Women's National Volleyball Team, has passed away
Fenerbahçe has announced that Güneş Çapa, the first captain of the Women's National Volleyball Team and a former athlete, has passed away.
Güneş Çapa, who played both volleyball and basketball for Fenerbahçe, won championships at various clubs in Turkey, and held the title of being the first captain of the national team, has passed away.
Fenerbahçe also shared a condolence message on its social media account regarding the matter.
In the statement made by the yellow-navy club, it was stated, "We have learned with deep sadness that Güneş Çapa, who held the titles of being the first female captain of our national volleyball team and the first female member of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, and who wore our jersey in both our women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, has passed away.
We wish God's mercy upon Güneş Çapa and extend our condolences to her loved ones, especially her dear family, and our community."
