Halil Umut Meler to referee Czech Republic vs. England match
FIFA-licensed referee Halil Umut Meler will officiate the UEFA Nations League A match between the Czech Republic and England.
UEFA has appointed FIFA-licensed Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler to the Czech Republic vs. England match in UEFA Nations League A, Group 3. The 40-year-old Meler will officiate the match to be played at the Fortuna Arena in Prague.
The match will kick off on September 29 at 21:45 TSI. The encounter is significant for both teams, who lost their opening group stage matches. England was defeated 3-2 at home by Spain, while the Czech Republic suffered a 2-1 loss against Croatia.
Meler will be assisted by İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan and Abdullah Bora Özkara. The fourth official for the match will be Cihan Aydın.
Fedayi San from the Swiss Football Association will serve as the VAR for the match, while Onur Özütoprak will occupy the AVAR seat.
