Hand grenade thrown at former Premier League star's home

The home of former Israeli footballer Yossi Benayoun, who played for teams such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal in the English Premier League, was targeted by a motorcyclist. It was determined that a hand grenade was thrown by a motorcyclist passing in front of the house during the incident, which occurred on Sunday morning.

Police have launched a wide-ranging investigation following the incident. Examinations revealed that the hand grenade was not linked to any political or regional conflict. Regarding the incident, Benayoun stated, "This was definitely a mistake. At first, I thought a gas cylinder had exploded, and we called the fire department. However, when the police arrived at the house and found the remains of the hand grenade, we understood what had actually happened."

While security measures have been increased in the area following the incident, police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the attacker. The reason for this attack on Benayoun's home has not yet been clarified.
