Beşiktaş manager Rıza Çalımbay made significant statements following the Alanyaspor match. Çalımbay used harsh expressions regarding Beşiktaş goalkeeper Mert Günok, who made a mistake on the goal.
Speaking after the match, Çalımbay said, "I mean, what kind of goalkeeper are you? You should just kick that ball away, it's that simple!"
Continuing his criticism of his players, Rıza Çalımbay stated, "Gedson could have played, for example, he could have played. His foot wasn't that important, he could have played."
