He had said 'He sent the VAR records': Ali Koç responds to Erden Timur's 'Lale Orta' claim

Galatasaray Deputy Chairman Erden Timur claimed during a live broadcast on A Spor that the then-MHK (Central Referee Committee) President Lale Orta sent the VAR records from the Adana Demirspor - Fenerbahçe match to Ali Koç.

While Timur's remarks sparked debate in the sports community, a response from Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç was not long in coming.

"IT IS A TOTAL LIE, IT IS SLANDER"

According to a report by Hürriyet; denying the claim in question, Ali Koç stated the following;

"An event such as Lale Orta personally sending or serving a VAR image or any image to me has absolutely not occurred; it is a total lie, it is slander. An incident of sending such an image definitely did not happen. But the real issue here is how they can voice this lie so easily. Because they say, 'the record exists, we know the event'; if these records or images exist, who is leaking them to Erden Timur? If this leaking event is taking place, are those who leak it the ones planning this setup with Erden Timur?"

Erden Timur's claims are statements that are not difficult to prove, and in fact, are very easy to examine, investigate, and reveal the truth about. LALE ORTA: A COMPLETELY BASELESS REPORT

Lale Orta, regarding the claims, said, "I entered that room every week to evaluate referee performances. The footage comes from the broadcaster; there is nothing produced inside. Absolutely no footage was sent by me to Mr. Ali Koç, nor to other club presidents or executives. It is a completely baseless report."
