He spent 364 days in prison during the match-fixing conspiracy: Aziz Yıldırım's compensation lawsuit to be retried!

Aziz Yıldırım had filed a lawsuit for 777 thousand 741 TL against the Treasury because he was unjustly imprisoned for 364 days in the match-fixing conspiracy case, and the court had ruled for 8 thousand TL in pecuniary and 100 thousand TL in non-pecuniary damages.

According to the report in Spor Arena, the appellate court, which reviewed the file upon the former Fenerbahçe president's objection, overturned the decision on the grounds that Yıldırım's company partnerships and income sources prior to the detention order had not been investigated. Following this decision, Yıldırım's compensation lawsuit will be heard from scratch.
