Despite holding the lead, VakıfBank could not break its opponent's resistance in the early stages. After leading 14-12, VakıfBank widened the gap with consecutive points and took the set 25-16.

The host country's representative started the second set better. The yellow-and-black team, which trailed 15-10, went on a 6-0 run to take a 16-15 lead. Maintaining its advantage with Cansu's effective serves and points from Gabi and Thompson, VakıfBank took the set 25-23 to make the score 2-0.

Displaying a dominant performance from start to finish in the third set as well, VakıfBank won this section 25-23 and the match 3-0, despite its opponent's resistance. Having won its third match in the championship without dropping a set, VakıfBank has advanced to the final.

In the yellow-and-black team, captain Gabi was one of the architects of the victory with 17 points. Thompson contributed 14 points and Frantti 13 points to the win.

First-ever all-Turkish final

For the first time, two Turkish teams will face each other in the final of the FIVB Women's Club World Championship.

The organization, first held in 1991, was paused for a long time after being held in 1992 and 1994. The tournament has been held regularly since 2010.

In the final of the championship, which is being held for the 16th time this year, two Turkish teams will compete for the trophy for the first time.
