Beşiktaş captain Necip Uysal has denied the betting allegations made against him and went to the Çağlayan Courthouse to file a criminal complaint.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has launched a large-scale betting investigation involving referees and football players. Within this scope, it was determined that 1,024 football players had placed bets on various platforms. It was stated that 27 players currently playing in the Trendyol Süper Lig were also on this list.
Beşiktaş captain Necip Uysal was among the players mentioned. However, Uysal rejected these allegations and went to the Çağlayan Courthouse with his lawyers in the morning to file a criminal complaint. Speaking to the press upon leaving the courthouse, Uysal stated that the allegations against him were baseless.
Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club General Secretary Uğur Fora also made a statement regarding the matter, expressing that they are closely following the process and supporting Uysal.
