During the Medellin-Atletico Nacional derby in Colombia, a knife thrown from the stands struck Pablo Ceppelini, who plays for the visiting team, in the head.
Derby excitement took place in the 18th week of the Colombian Apertura.
Medellin, sitting 9th in the league, hosted their arch-rivals Atletico Nacional.
While the match ended in a 2-2 draw, hearts were in mouths during the stoppage time of the derby.
KNIFE HIT THE PLAYER'S HEAD
In the 90+2nd minute of the match, a knife thrown from the stands hit the head of Atletico Nacional's Uruguayan number 10, Pablo Ceppelini.

While medical teams intervened for Ceppelini, who was struck in the head while preparing to take a corner kick, it was noted that the referee did not stop the match.
