Hull City's opponent in the play-off final has changed
Southampton, which secretly watched the training session of fellow English Championship side Middlesbrough, has been disqualified from the English Championship play-off final. Hull City will now face Middlesbrough in the play-off final.
In England, the Independent Disciplinary Commission has disqualified Southampton from the Championship play-offs for multiple violations of the EFL (Football League Championship) regulations regarding the unauthorized recording of a club's training sessions. In addition to this decision, Southampton has also been handed a 4-point deduction for the upcoming season.
Hull City, owned by Acun Ilıcalı, will face Middlesbrough at Wembley on Saturday, May 23, for a spot in the Premier League.
