According to reports in the British press, the board, which met in London, discussed granting referees the authority to send players who commit tactical fouls or persist in dissent off the pitch for 10 minutes.

Additionally, a rule similar to that in rugby, where only the team captain is permitted to approach the referee, was also brought to the agenda.

It was noted that pilot applications of these rules could be implemented in FA Cup and Women's Super League matches.

Board members agreed that the issue of whether VAR officials should intervene in corners, free kicks, and second yellow cards requires further discussion.

The topics addressed at the meeting in London will be put to a vote at the general assembly meeting to be held next March.
