The İlker Ergüllü era begins at Karşıyaka
Following a series of resignation crises within the management of the İzmir-based Karşıyaka Sports Club, Vice President İlker Ergüllü has been appointed as the new president.
Last week, following disagreements within the board, İlker Ergüllü first resigned, followed by President Azat Yeşil and Treasurer Hasan Yıldırım. However, during the board meeting of the green-and-red club, Ergüllü's resignation was not accepted.
İlker Ergüllü was elected president as a result of a vote within the board.
Sertaç İnamlık and İlker Akpınar, who were substitute board members, have been brought into the main board to replace Azat Yeşil and Hasan Yıldırım, whose resignations were accepted.
It was also learned that Volleyball Branch President Veysi Kubba decided to resign and did not attend the board meeting.
