Information from Fenerbahçe management regarding Tedesco's health status
Football commentator Ertem Şener provided an update on the health status of Fenerbahçe manager Tedesco.
While Fenerbahçe fans were wondering why Tedesco was in such poor condition that he could not lead the team on the pitch, a statement regarding the manager's health came from football commentator Ertem Şener.
Stating that he spoke with the Fenerbahçe management, Şener used the following expressions:
"I spoke with the Fenerbahçe management an hour ago. I asked, 'What is Tedesco's condition?' The manager was already ill while heading to England; he has sinusitis and a problem in his upper respiratory tract. It is descending into his lungs.
After the Nottingham match, he told the doctors, 'I am not well, take a look at me.' His legs were shaking in the locker room, and he was dizzy.
Then they came to Antalya, and he told the doctor, 'You have to get me to the match somehow.' The doctor did not accept and said, 'If you want to go out there, I have one condition: you will sit on the bench, otherwise you will fall or faint while standing.'
Tedesco was put on an IV drip. His condition worsened significantly closer to match time. In the end, he gave in. It was determined that he has influenza, and he is being treated with antibiotics and IV fluids."
