The condition of Vaclav Cerny, who was injured during the Kocaelispor match, has become a major talking point for Beşiktaş ahead of the Trabzonspor game. The Czech footballer, who started in the first 11 for Beşiktaş in their 2-1 victory over Kocaelispor in the 7th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, provided the assist for Orkun Kökçü's goal.
Cerny was unable to continue the match due to an injury sustained in the first half. The Beşiktaş Club announced that the player felt pain in the back of his left thigh in the 30th minute, and an MRI scan revealed a strain and edema in the posterior thigh muscle.
In the club's statement, it was noted that the 28-year-old footballer's treatment has been initiated by the medical team. Following the injury, there has been speculation regarding which matches Cerny will miss.
According to a report by Sabah, Cerny will be unable to play in Beşiktaş's Europa League match against Hoffenheim, as well as the Süper Lig match against Trabzonspor. The report stated that the experienced player could return to the pitch for the Başakşehir match on October 16.
Vaclav Cerny, who has played in 14 matches for Beşiktaş this season, has contributed 4 goals and 2 assists. It is reported that the technical staff at the black-and-white club is closely monitoring the player's treatment process ahead of a busy match schedule.
